"Jan and Jeff were the absolute best hosts we could have possibly asked for during our stay in Te Anau. Jan greeted us as we pulled up and immediately offered us tea and snacks and chatted with us about our plans for vacation for a good 30 minutes. She had fabulous recommendations about where to eat, what to do in Te Anau, and what to do near Milford Sound. Jan and Jeff were both amazingly generous with their time, providing accommodations, refreshments etc. The room, which has a private bathroom and storage area for luggage, was phenomenal and even better than advertised. Breakfast, which Jeff made fresh each morning, was phenomenal and made to order. Jan and Jeff were very flexible with the timing of breakfast as well, and really catered to our plans, which was much appreciated. If you are staying in Te Anau and really want to experience all it has to offer, this is probably the best place to stay. The perfect place to stay at in Te Anau!! Just a little bit outside of town, the place is very quiet and the house is just beautiful, as is the room! Very clean and cosy! Jan and Jeff were wonderful hosts, they made us feel very welcome and helped us organising our tours. Breakfast was absolutely delicious!!! Like in a 5-star hotel! A real home from home experience! Jan and Jeff were so welcoming and genuinely lovely people. They are both passionate about the area and their country and were full of interesting information. They were also extremely helpful in suggesting trips! It's a beautiful, peaceful spot - ideally located to explore the area! The garden is a delight and the breakfast top notch!
